CAO Brazilia box pressed Review

This is my first review ever. I didn't plan on doing this until I became more experienced and actually knew what I was talking about. But, after smoking this, I couldn't keep it to myself.

I had a CAO Brazilia box pressed last evening thanks to houdini. He sent it along with some others as "bodyguards" to accompany his payment for a box split. Thanks again, houdini!!

This cigar didn't really break down into thirds, so I'm just going to give a few points I found worthy of interest. It was mostly a standard rich tobacco flavor with occasional surprises. Keep in mind, the only thing that accompanied this smoke was ice water.

For the most part, it was pretty standard...alternating creamy, nutty, hint of spicy. About halfway through, it turned into a prima donna, demanding attention. If I went more than 60 seconds without a draw, it would instantly go out. I had to relight 5 times. Soon after that first relight, I got 2 draws of amaretto. I've never considered myself to have much of a palate, and I don't know enough about cigars yet to pinpoint flavors. So to taste something so distinct really excited me. But, as quickly as it arrived, it disappeared.

About an inch later, I got another surprise. This time it was smoked salmon. Seriously. Again, 2 draws and gone.

After going out for the 4th time with 2 inches left, I was ready to let it go. But I decided to give it one more relight. Soon after, the final surprise was the aroma of clean, warm laundry fresh out of the dryer. This lasted for the last few minutes before I put it out.

Again, I'm very surprised by these flavors, as they were each very distinct and unmistakable. I'm confused, though, because I've never read anything about any of these showing up in others' reviews.

Last point...lots of smoke throughout, which constantly increased the entire time. Very enjoyable.

Thanks for allowing me to share!

Those Brazilias are flavorful. Thanks for the review. On CLub Stogie as long as you don't mention that you taste "12 year old madagascar vanilla" you will never be knocked for what you are tasting in a cigar.

Thanks for the review! The Brazilia's are pretty much the only CAO smoke that I enjoy as much as they cost...

Hey, I tasted 12 year old Madagascar vanilla in those Brazilias, but it was a bit burnt...

Nice review, easyt!

Thanks for the review. Nice one for your first!!!

I think that by saying what you taste helps others to identify flavors they might not have otherwise.

I have not had the Box Pressed only the Chango (in the Tube). I enjoyed it and tasted a lot of woody and nutty flavors. Very nice!!!

Re: CAO Brazilia box pressed

Smoked my first Brazilia last night, the Gol!. Really, really enjoyed it. Matter of fact, will probably be included in my first box purchase order. May be a small cigar but certainly didn't smoke like one.

Thanks for the review.

Sounds tasteh, thanks for the review. This is on my list of things to try, guess I'll have to pick some up when I can find a good deal. Anyone know if CBid has good prices on these?
