Graycliff Expresso PG Review

Just smoked one of these I was sent by Matthew (mobsix), and here is a short review.

After trying the red and blue lines, I was ready for a fuller bodied Graycliff, and here it is. Super loose draw that may have been more suited for a punch than the XiKAR cut, but loads of lucious smoke. A perfect burn. This was probably the most complex non-Cuban I have smoked with the exception of some of the smaller Opus X's. Varying degrees of expresso, coffee with cream, chocolate and cherries. Full bodied yet super smooth without an overabundance of spice. Tough to justify too often at the price, but a wonderful special occassion cigar.

Re: Graycliff Expresso PG

Sounds like a great cigar and a great smoking experience. I have never had any cigar from this line.

Nice review. I will keep info in back of my head for a try if I come across one.

Thumbs up Re: Graycliff Expresso PG

Hi Tom,
I am happy to read this review, one I ofcourse am pleased that you smoked and enjoyed the Graycliff and two because I smoked one of mine from the same 5 pack and also found the loose draw issue. I fired mine up on Friday night, and it had a slightly better draw then the Graycliff Crystal Taco I smoked and reviewed last month. This time however it was notable but did not detract from the cigar nor the experience. Them's Espresso Graycliff's are tasty. To better judge the Espresso under optimum conditions I went to the local B&M and spent a whopping $42 on a well humindified Espresso Toro and a Crystal Toro to compare against the ones I have in stock. I will have to let you know if there is much difference. I don't know if its CBID or the shipping or whatever but none of my other Graycliffs have had the light draw issues.

On a separate note, I sent the remaining four Crystal Taco's back to CBID and had them replaced with (fresher?) ones. I smoked one of them earlier this week and I have to concur with your previous note that it to is a great cigar with a lot of charecter. I am kinda at the point where if Graycliff made one I would own the t-shirt. I am already test marketing the idea of a vacation in the Bahamas next year with the wife... I am locked into Maui for Thanksgiving but the next year is yet to be booked... Graycliff Hotel here I come.
-Matthew

You will love Nassau Matthew, my wife and I have been thete twice and had an awesome time....not to mention the Graycliff Cigars and all those "other" cigars that are legal over there...unfortunately, the gals on the beach selling Cohiba Esplendidos for 3 for $10 are less than trustworthy...

I had the Greycliff Red and aside from mild, it had a great taste.

Have only seen the others at the local B&M. Pricey sticks, but may have to take another at these.
