Monte Cristo White Churchill Review

Monte Cristo White Churchill 7’ 54

Still thinking about the Bolivar Peitit Coronas… the only thing I have to compare to that is a Montecristo white I have been saving. I can wait no more.. I pull the Montecristo out of the humi and prepare for the experience I know awaits me… this is destiny.

Anticipating the flavors of cashews and butter, the aroma of roasted nuts the creamy texture I pour myself a shot of Carolans Irish cream.

Prelight: I want to get some photos to remember this. The nose is awesome… I have to light it before I eat it!

Draw is tight. I might have left it too humidified. I’m worried. Not much flavor... I hope I don’t have another dud (I have had ones out of the same box that didn’t match up).

OK, wait it’s getting better. Draw is easing up and the flavors are emerging. The smoke coming off has a distinctive roasted peanut aroma, but the flavor is more buttery like almonds or cashews.

Looooooooooong grey ash; 3 inches before it finally drops to the deck. It’s putting out some smoke now. The draw is effortless.

Pepper appears, I’ve never noticed much pepper in these but I’m detecting it now. Not so overpowering that I loose the sweet, buttery, nutty flavors that I smoke these for, but more than I was expecting.

Oh yeah… this is turning out the way I expected it… my hopes were not too high. The full monte delivers. I’m smoking this until I can’t hold it between my fingers any more. Am I detecting an aftertaste of vanilla or cream. Maybe both… or it could be my imagination. Either way, I’m going to have dreams about this cigar until I test it again to see if I really can detect vanilla.

Montecristo is still the cigar I’ve known… all is right with the world. As Michael Scott would say: "aint no party like a Scranton party cause a Scranton party don’t stop" (OK, that had nothing to do with this... I just wanted to work it in even if it was a stretch).

Monte Cristo White's will spoil you indeed - the only thing bad about smoking a White is that whatever you smoke after will usually be a letdown - not all but most.

Re: Monte Cristo White Churchill

This is a great smoke - just very pricey.

I think I still have a 5er that I wanted to sell, I may fire one up this weekend.
