San Cristobal Guajiro Review

Had a stressful couple days with my Wife having some surgery yesterday. She's fine and the outcome was even better than expected, so I needed to have something special to celebrate.

The Guajiro is 6.625x46 an all Nicarguan blend, binder and wrapper. The only stick in the SC line with a pigtail type cap. Appearance is a 9.5 this IS a beautiful cigar. Firm with no soft spots, nicely constructed cap, no flaws I could discern.

I had a Black Butte porter from Deschutes Brewing Co in Bend OR to cleanse the pallete.

This was one of several I purchased from Holts in a Sampler pak in February.

Prelight gave off a pleasant scent and the burn was even and consistent all the way through. Draw was firm but no where near tight.

My immediate sensation was one of spiciness, with a hint of black pepper. The overwhelming sensation that lasted the entire experience was one of SMOOTNESS. This is one smooth smoke! No harshness, zero unpleasant after taste, simply a smooth, spicy smoke with slight under currents of black cherry or maybe chocolate?

I nursed both the Porter and the Guajiro for about 90 minutes. They complimented each other nicely. This was one of two or three sticks that have REALLY impressed me. I'm going to try another and if it's as pleasant, I'm going to buy a box.

Re: San Cristobal Guajiro

Glad to see your wife is doing good and glad you got a chance to smoke one of these.

Just got a box of these today that I bought from mumike - gonna light one up later - can't wait! Had a couple of other SC's and loved both of them. Thanks for the review!

Re: San Cristobal Guajiro

I have tried several of these puppies and I can't agree with you more. They are a wonderfully smooth smoke. Thanks for the review.
