Russ,

Try um all.

Med to one guy is strong to another and so on.

Only your opinion of a cigar is the one that counts.

Ah, another interesting story
After I had moved back to the US from Italy, Hal (hk3) was still living over there. So, on one of my business trips last year, I went wine shopping and picked up 54 bottles! Dropped them off at Hal's house to be included his shipment when he moved back. Just pried the first few bottles out of Hal's mitts last week. So, long answer to a short question: Italian Syrah.

Re: My first OpusX

Thanks for the review, brotha! Those smokes are fantastic. It seems like this is the perfect size for the Opus X. It's not too small, but not too large that you get overwhelmed by its power, either.

Re: My first OpusX

Nice review, KenS. Those Opus can be very good cigars. They get a lot of hype which drags along a lot of bashing and both for good reason. As mentioned, a year on these sticks can make great changes. I heard this many times, or read it here, so I ran my own experiment and have to say that the Opus does turn to a better smoke with time.

Strength; my 1st Opus opened a can of whoopass on me. Man that hurt!

Pricey, but a stick that should be found in your humi.

Re: My first OpusX

Awesome review and loved the pics. It's a shame about the Opus though. They are a great smoke when found at MSRP(which is right where they should be) but due to the scarcity some retailers just go wild with pricing and that's a shame for the vast majority of BOTLs. Holts usually has one of these in their samplers from time to time and usually average about 8.50 a stick ( 5 smokes for 40 or so). Opus are great tasty cigar BUT not the end all be all to cigars. The first year of aging has by far the most potential IMO.
