Taboo Costa Rica Maduro Review

I found this jewel deep in the bottom of my humi that had rested since 1/20/08. This cigar is the "Toro", 6X50. Costa Rican Maduro wrapper with Cuban Seed Filler & Binder from Nicaragua. $4.25/Stick from www.taboocigars.com. This baby has a sweet, rich, pre-light aroma. Initial taste of spice, followed by that sweet, rich maduro flavor. Burn and draw were perfect & even throughout! This smoke was very complex, starting out with a sweet, rich taste & aroma with a hint of spice, then developed towards the second half of the stick into leather, cedar, and woodsy taste with hints of spice throughout the rest of the smoke. Duration of smoke: 1.5 hours. Overall rating 10/10! One of my new favorites from Taboo! Thanks again, Rob, for producing such tremendous smokes!

Thanks for the review. This one is blended by Oliva. I think this blend has been overlooked here at CS. Great stick if you like mild-med IMO.

Bought a sampler a couple days ago, smoked my first one last night. You hit the nail on the head with this review. This smoke was fabulous. The best Cigar I've had in a while. I used my punch and it had a perfect draw. Mine burned a little uneven but it was probably the way I lit up. If you haven't tried this cigar, you are missing a GEM! THANKS AGAIN ROB!

Does Taboo make a bad cigar? All the ones I've tried have been Excellent. Rob puts out a great product.

Re: Taboo Costa Rica Maduro Review

I agree the Costa Rican Maduro is a flavorful smoke. Had one in the sampler Rob sent me last month.

Props and shouts out to Rob and the Guys at Taboo for this one. Just got the CR Maduro 6 pack sampler today.

Shipped with a pillow and other goodies. Upon inspection it appeared that these were very much in usable condition right out of the box. And it was!

I have to agree, I think this is a great blend that is worthy of mention! I was intrigued by the CR Maduro wrapper. I have always enjoyed CR tobacco (was a fan of Tony Borhani's Line when it was made in CR). And, being a total sucker for Nicaraguan I thought, this should be good. I must confess, that is something of an understatement!

Very nice job guys! Keep 'em coming! BTW Bobbie, med-full with tons of smoke mate, do yourself a favor and make some room in your Gurkha shrine for some of these!

Thanks again Taboo Cigars!
