PAM 1964 Principe Review

So part of #2's bomb when he tricked me into giving my address was a PAM 1964 Principe.. Because I didn't have the time to get a larger smoke, I picked up the principe and it makes me wish I had taken an exclusivo because I would have had more.. Having a bad day, this was one of those smokes that erased 23.25 hours and made me remember only the 45 minutes I was smoking.

First 1/3-Mild with hints of coffee and chocolate. It tasted very much like the Kona coffee I french pressed this morning. I kid you not, it was great.

Second third- Stronger coffee smell, also a great chocolate taste to this. Had to fix the burn once, but I probably should have trusted Padron on this, as it happened a second time, but fixxed itself. When people say that the middle is the best, they ain't kidding, and this is now my benchmark for that.

Last third- Powerful coffee tastes, spicey taste lingering on my lips. I normally don't like it when it gets REALLY strong, but the PAM wasn't the bad kind. It was really one of those instances where I thought to myself, "wow, I got the spinciness on the lips, but the smoke is still great" kind of strong tastes.

I haven't smoked a cigar before until it was literally too hot to touch, but this was my first. Thanks Jordan. Of the 5 cigars you sent, your choices have hit the spot. Mental note, whenever #2 sends a smoke, save them for when you want a quality experience.

P.S. You'll get yours, #2

Glad you enjoyed it Daniel.

When I told you it was one of my favorites I wasn't kidding.

I love these smokes; they're my favorite PAM. However, I just wish they were a couple bucks less. They're a little steep in price for the size, but that still doesn't keep me from smoking them!

Re: PAM 1964 Principe

Everyone's tastes run a bit diferent....I like buxom redheads...others like skinny blondes. Some dislike brand X smoke..others love it.

But the Padron Anni 1964's maduro's have been my ALL TIME favorite smoke....hands down. Wish I could afford to buy more of them.

Re: PAM 1964 Principe

well I bit the bullet......

went to Fumare today to pick up their new Illusione HL and decided to buy a PAM 26 and a 64.

I'll let them age a bit (like a day or two lol) and then they will be my first Padrons.

I did the same thing , I bought 2 singles and smoked one right up! for my first PAM.. Then about1 month ago I pulled out the second now about 1 year old , and .....I would damn near give blood daily to keep these around.. ( I bought a box 3 weeks ago, I hope they can survive a few weeks..)

Re: PAM 1964 Principe

The problem is that once you fall in love with '64's and then have a couple 26's, you'll find yourself just falling deeper and deeper. Both are great smokes, but the 26's are heavenly. However, I just don't keep too many of those in my collection. PAM's I can justify the expensive, however, 1926's are a bit rich for my blood so they are usually a once every 2-3 months smoke.
