Taboo Twist Robusto Review

So I tried one of these last night that I had gotten from a Newbie PIF a little while back.

First impressions when I lit it was wow, its creamy. Tastes really good. My palate isn't quite developed yet so I've yet to be able to pick out distinct flavors. All I can say is that I like. Unfortunately after starting it, I had to stop. I probably smoked 1/4" of it when I had to let it go. I clipped the burnt end to try to salvage it for later. I've never been able to relight a cigar without getting huge amounts of bitterness so I figured clipping it can't be worse.

I relit about half an hour later and it was considerably better than all my previous relight experiences. It was definitely a mild smoke and tasted very good. The smoke was really thick and creamy, it's the best I can describe it. I only smoked the Twist about halfway. Time prevented me from enjoying it anymore. One this I did notice about this cigar is that it dries out my mouth. A LOT! I haven't had that experience with any other before. I had a bottle of water with me as I usually do but it was definitely something I've never experienced.

All in all I have to say it was a good smoke. I'm eager to try the Twist Torpedo I recieved through a NST.

Great review of a great cigar-I just received my first box of these last week and I'm finding myself hitting them more and more across the last few days. They are wonderful and a very fair price!

Re: Taboo Twist Robusto

thanks for the review - I hope your next one goes without interuption.

I love these smokes, but for a different reason than most of my other collection. These are the only mild/medium cigars I really, really enjoy. They are super creamy and almost sweet and fruity, without any weird harshness or bad twang flavor.

Rob's got a winner with this one.

I tried my first Twist last week and I loved it. I nubbed it down until I couldn't hold it anymore, and I rarely do that.
