Carlos Torano 1916 Cameroon Robusto Review

This is my first review.
Nice mild to medium body cigar with a short finish. Lots of flavor and smoke. It was very creamy and nutty with a little cedar and spice. I walked away from the cigar a couple of times and it never went out. Paired nicely with a Lismore Single Malt Scotch.

Thanks for the review. I like most things Torano makes, including this one. My favorites are the Exodus 1959 and the Casa Torano, but the 1916 is defnintely worth keeping around.

I'm going to guess that you got it from Joe Cigar, as did I. Great deal, I thought ($25 for ten). I smoked one as soon as the package came on Saturday. I'm partial to Cameroons and this one was tasty. Now I'm wishing I'd doubled up on that deal; the only thing holding me back was that I'd only smoked one Torano before and I couldn't remember if I'd liked it much.

I do not like most Carlos Torano's...I mean thier alright but just average. Except for the 1916. I love the corona's and for the buck I think they are one of the best on the market.

If you like these, you should also try the Churchill size. I'm smoking some from a box I bought in summer 2006 and they are fabulous. I think the length/RG allows them to smoke cooler and really lets you appreciate the blend.

This was the first cigar I had that made me "sit up and take notice" and the first box I ever bought (after I enjoyed the first couple). Keep some in the humi all the time.

Very good smoking cigar, and as always - cameroons rock. One downside on this stick for me is the after taste that seems to linger. If anyone likes this one, try the H. Uppman Vintage Cameroon. Very similiar and a bit more affordable as well.

Thanks for the review LVS. The 1916 Cameroon robusto is a very nice smoker indeed. If you get the opportunity, try a Cuban Crafter Cameroon robusto...

Re: Carlos Torano 1916 Cameroon Robusto

I am smoking my first one right now, and what a great smoke!

I got this one in a mini bomb from Boonedoggle.

What a cigar. Really nice flavor with a long, lingering finish. And even at retail a great value.

Dammit, another one added to "the list"......

Re: Carlos Torano 1916 Cameroon Robusto

Just finished my first one and I must say that this was a very tasty stick. Beautiful draw, ash, taste, and finish. Not too harsh at the end. For the price a very good smoke and one I will keep on "my list".

Re: Carlos Torano 1916 Cameroon Robusto

That's what all cigars should taste like and be price like. Torano 1916's Cameroon is a great stick with nice spicy flavor, not too strong, burn straight and tastes just damn great for the money. Especially the corona size
