Finally tried the Lancero. Very good smoke! Agree fully with your review! Great draw and smoke volume for a long thin cigar. Good strong full bodied cigar.

Only problem was having to keep on it so it would not go out. Only have a few weeks in the humi at 65% so I think after awhile it will burn better.

The pics look more like the SFBC.

Re: Review: Taboo Special Forces Original Lancero

Smoked the SFO lancero last night and was trully amazed at the ease of draw and flavors. The regular and boot camp SF's are my favorite of the taboo's and for me the lancero was the best of all the sizes I've tried. Will definitely be getting more of these!

This cigar is now aged to perfection and is one of the best Lanceros on the market. (Can't be beat for the $$)Very full flavor.

Sounds like a good cigar. I will have to try some.

Re: Review: Taboo Special Forces Original Lancero

I'm trying to make it to the end of a SFO Lancero right now. I just received a great selection of Taboo's a few days ago and possibly should have taken the cello off and dry boxed this one. I think I've used a tank of butane trying to keep the wrapper lit. I haven't smoked a Lancero in 15 years so maybe I'm doing something wrong. I'm guessing that dry boxing these might help the burn quite a bit? I'm down to the 3" mark and the wrapper is doing a bit better and the flavor is a little better now.

I smoked the SFO 6x56 Torp this morning with my morning coffee and it was outstanding! Required just a few wrapper touch-ups and I got 2.7 hours out of it. I nubbbed this one and am very impressed with this cigar. I think I'll stick with them and pass on the Lancero's in the future. They are handmade and I've experienced "disappointments" with other cigars so it's no big deal. I smoke a lot of Obsidian's and get a "stinker" every once-in-awhile. I've had very pleasant experiences with the few, larger RG SFO's that I got in the sampler a few months ago.

I've never had better service from a cigar vendor than Taboo offers and they have the best packaging in the business. CI could learn a heck of a lot from Taboo's care in packing, that's for sure.
