CAO Italia Review

recently bought a fiver of these from a CS BOTL so I decided to give one a try. this is my first review so be patient.

The 1st third of this cigar some what reminded me of a Sancho Panza Double Maduro. Earthy and Chocolaty.

the 2nd Third had an earthy, somewhat grassy taste with some light Floral Undertones. I was picking up another flavor here but couldn't put my finger on it.

In the final third the earthy flavor left and the chocolate came back but this time it was acompanied with what I'll call almonds.

This stick had a razor sharp burn and thick creamy smoke... alot of it. draw was nice and the construction was amazing, the ash held on for at least 3 inches. I knocked it off because I didn't want to wear it.

I have read that people either love or hate this cigar. I don't love it but I do like it alot I recomend that everyone try it atleast once, and I will smoke more of them.

over all I give it 7.5/10

Re: CAO Italia

Thanks for the review.

I've only had one of these - and while I remember the first few puffs to have a hint of chocolate, the rest was a nutty, grassy taste which didn't agree with me at all.

Re: CAO Italia

A friend of mine loves the Italia. I've had a few of them. Good smoke....decent price. I didn't pick up any chocolate though....but thats probably just me. I thought it was more earthy/peppery/spicy flavors. Well have to smoke another one..

Good review! I've had a few of these and while I liked them, it wasn't enough for me to buy more at retail prices. I'll likely get some five packs online that are much below retail though.

Re: CAO Italia

Thanks for the review. Sounds like a good stick. I tried a Brazilia (a torpedo) and I was unimpressed. I wouldn't say it was a bad stick, and I wouldn't pass on it if someone handed one to me. I just wasn't very inspired by the flavor.

Re: CAO Italia

I've had one resting in the humi for a few months now, this thread made me think of it. I think maybe his time has come this week.

P.S. Good review
