Rocky patel Summer Collection 2008 Robusto Review

Appearance: This cigar is very beautifully done in my opinion. It has an Ultra smooth conecticut grown Habano wrapper that is flawless. The double bands add a lot to the appearance too.

Pre light: After clipping the head of this beauty with my Palio, I tested the draw it was perfect just tight enough to let you know you were smoking something. The pre light draw had a sweet light floral taste to it, very promising.

As soon as I lit this bad boy up the copious amounts of smoke that it put out was unbelievable. when I blew out the first puff of smoke I couldn't even see through it. tons of smoke.

the first third of this cigar has a sweet floral taste with a little bit of pepper in the background... not a lot of pepper just enough to let you know it's there. the ash is solid white and firm. This thing is still smokin like a chimney

As I enter into the second third of this stick I am starting to pick up a nutty kind of flavor under the slight sweetness and floral flavors as the spiciness(sp?) has diminished. I am now also getting what I call the RP flavor, I can't put my finger on it but it is associated with almost every RP I have smoked. From the vintage to the edge snd fusion and so on.

In the final third of this little smoke house the slight pepper has picked back up. The sweet floral taste is still here along with a slightly woody taste. this cigar is what summer is all about.

overall this is one of the best cigars I have ever smoked I'd give it a 9/10

Had one of these sticks at Nick's in North Myrtle Beach last week. It was pretty dang good. Ended up nubbing it drinking free beer on tap at Nick's. Great place to sit and enjoy a new stick.

Nice review. Sounds like something I need to try. My B&M just got a bunch of these, but they weren't too high on my "must try" list. But I think I'll have to pick up a few when I meet Rocky.

Was there a few weeks ago. Good selection and sitting area, and FREE beer! If you smoke cigars and you are in MB, you have to go there!
