CI Legends RP Orange Label Review
I received this cigar from Tidefan73 as part of his newbie PIF.
Construction/Prelight It feels pretty firm, a little give, with a few soft spots. No noticeable veins. Prelight draw was good. First Third The smoke was cool and felt “soft”. I picked up a little nuttiness which would last pretty much for the entire smoke. The burn was uneven and required one touch-up. Second Third The “soft” feel has begun to fade a little but it is still smooth. It is still burning unevenly, requiring one more touch-up. After the second touch-up the burn evens out a little, but the draw is getting a little loose, and produces a very light flaky ash. Finish The loose draw is making the cigar warm and it starts to get pretty harsh. Final Thoughts This cigar started out pretty good but I was not impressed with the finish. I might have touched-up the uneven burn incorrectly causing the hot draws. I will probably revisit this cigar sometime in the near future. Thank You Tidefan73 for your generosity!! |

Re: CI Legends RP Orange Label
I like most of what Rocky Patel makes although the legends RP is not one of myfavorites. Maybe it needed some rest time. Got some great sticks from Tidefan73 last year in a newbee trade. Would trde with him anytime!

This Legend isn't one of my favorites...the yellow label is...Pepin. Nice review though. wonder why you had burn issues...I had one a couple of weeks ago from the same box and it burned razor sharp. Just goes to show that anything can happen with a hand-made cigar. Thanks again for participating in my small PIF deal! T-

Re: CI Legends RP Orange Label
You know after I read your review I went back and fired one up since it has been a few months. It was a much better cigar than I had remembered and I had no burn issues. ???
