Thumbs up Taboo Twist Churchill Review

I paired this with three fingers of 'The Macallan' with a single ice cube.

This cigar was beautiful. Only one smallish vein I noticed, and when looking at the foot none were visible in the filler. It was very nicely rolled, and felt just right between my fingers.

Draw seemed perfect and once lit it never needed a touch up. The ash held on to at least an inch and a half before I gently bumped it off to make sure it landed in the Stinky instead of my lap.

The cigar was smooth and mellow. Very much on the light side of light-medium strength. I may have made a mistake in choice of drink - at least I was thinking so at first. But some time in the last 1/3 of the cigar I went and poured a couple more fingers into my glass and grabbed another cube so it must not have been horrible. All the same, I think I'll try the next one with some coffee.

While I'm not yet good at detecting separate flavors, I noticed very little spice, and after about 1/3 through I thought I detected a slight hint of something like cashew.

On my arbitrary personal scale, I'd put this at around a 9 for the light-medium class of smokes. I'm glad I bought a few of them and am sure I'll pick up more some time.

Nice review. I enjoyed my second Twist Churchill yesterday afternoon. I really enjoyed it. I paired it with a glass of Glenfiddich 18 yr. Nice combo.

Ah-ha! There's the issue - I was cheap and only had the 12 yr Mac.

They don't do well in a rainstorm, but you can drive your golf cart into the pond and they do just fine.

Re: Taboo Twist Churchill

Am sitting and enjoying a Twist Churchill as I type. Definitely a mild to medium smoke. No burn issues or construction problems. Would definitely recommend.

I am seeing a trend with the Twist...75% of the time I smoke a Taboo Twist we get a monsoon here in AZ...last time it was a doozy! I made myself as thin as possible and hugged up against the side of the house to finish off the last third! Mother Nature will not steal my cigar time from me any more!

Wish you could smoke one here with us!
The Churchills are very low and probably will not be restocked until late Oct., early Nov.
