AF King B Review

Well heres my first review here,
I smoked my second tonight, first burned terribly unevenly so I cad to give them another shot.
anyway, This thing looks nice with the new king b cello, cedar wrapper and black band. The wrapper also looked great, a reddish brown "cloud grown" oliva rosado wrapper. The ring gauge is quite large on this one, When I lit this thing It tasted alot like the 858 sungrown, thats the best description I could give. It was a smooth creamy, even burn throughout. Quite medium body, I imagine these will age well. All in all another great AF cigar (and great AF marketing too)

I haven't seen these in the B&M's yet . I've liked every sun-grown Fuente that I've had so far . Still looking for them .

I totally agree, and this time they had no hurricane excuse like back when the anejos came out. They are THE kings of cigar marketing.

Re: AF King B

the availability of the King B is "supposed" to be on par with the 858 sungrown, which isnt as readily available as the others in the 858 series, but we will see. I cant get them yet.

Re: AF King B

I just had a King B on my ride home from work. I stopped by the B&M and picked up 6. I thought it much better than most of the regular fuentes. The burn was much better too. I could taste a nice mellow sweetness that made it very enjoyable. I liked it much better than the SunGrown Cuban Belis.
Worth the 8.70 (in Taxachusetts) that I paid.

Re: AF King B

My local B & M tells me the King Bs were pulled off the market due to Carlito not thinking this batch was up to snuff. I believe they told my local guy this story, but not sure if it is true, or an excuse for not sending him any to sell. Anybody else heard this?

Re: AF King B

Well, of the two boxes my shop got at Christmas, the two I smoked from the first box were excellent. The two I smoked from the second box were just terrible. Burned badly, had a horrible nicoteine taste, lots of goo crapping on my tongue.

The two King B's that I enjoyed were no better than Cuban Belicosos. So, I don't think this cigar is worth it. I'd rather have some CB's myself.
