Gurkha Warlord Review

I've had some of these buried in a humidor for over a year now, finally had one today. First off, this is a big one (7x55), nice! It lasted right about two hours. It was quite pleasant and very smooth the entire time, but I found little to no flavor. Seriously, it didn't have any flavors! This was quite disappointing, to say the least. With all that Nicaraguan tobacco I had high hopes for it. I have a few more and will try them down the road, but I was hoping for a lot more from this. It wasn't bad at all, but it wasn't real good either. (same thing happened to their Grand Master Dos Capas, I have a bunch from a few years ago and it seems time has stolen all the flavor from them - some cigars age real well, and some sure don't!)

Have any of you had this one? Same or different experience?

Re: Gurkha Warlord

I've smoked a few of these (I bought several at a local b&m store near by last year) The ones I had were good slow burning, lots of smoke and as I recall good flavor. Now I'm going to have to dig one out and try it again. They have been buried for a year and I hope the flavor is still there!

Re: Gurkha Warlord

I'll fess up to liking the Gurks, but the Warlord and Dos Capas are two very good sticks to me. As I have learned, one stick does not make a taste test. Luck on the next ones, or they may just not be to your liking.
