Arturo Fuente Corona Review

This is my first review, but i plan on reviewing all the smokes that deserve it

Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva Corona
$4.10 at L.J Peretti's

Good appearance, cap was wrinkled a tiny bit, and it had some large veins, but overall it appeared to be a nice cigar.

The wrapper had a mild tobacco smell with a slightly sweet smell towards the foot.

The first inch was very mild, with a slightly woody flavor. It then got a little peppery towards the middle, with slight hints of grapes or raisins it seemed. After 2/3 it got alot more spicy and peppery, and eventually got very harsh. I ended it about an inch and a half out due to a bad burn.

The burn was inconsistent. The first 2 inches burned well, but the ash was not very strong, and consistently fell off after an inch of growth. As the end approached, it started to burn poorly along a large vein. I put it down after it burned down one whole side, leaving the other unburned.

Overall, i was pleased with the flavor, but the inconsistent construction left a lot to be desired. I believe I just got a fluke, and that others should be better built. Overall, an 82%.

Re: Arturo Fuente Corona

Going to one of the oldest smoke shops in the USA I see. I use them often as well. I live about 15 miles from them.

They are Fuentes oldest account on the books. They have been open since 1870. Great Store.

As for the cigar. This is a great cigar. They usually smoke rather well. Be sure to have another and dont use the first on to form your opinion.
