Anyone try the Padron Serie 1926 yet?

Has anyone had a chance to try one yet??? I have not had any luck finding these so far. I know my regular shop back home in Buffalo is carrying them (while they last atleast), but nothing down here in Pittsburgh. Until then, I will just have to dream........

RE: Anyone try the Padron Serie 1926 yet?

AAlmeter,

I've had the opportunity to smoke a #6 and a #1. The 1926 has the look and feel of a maduro anniverssario. Dark, chocolate wrapper with a firm, almost hard feel. Perfect draw and an even burn.

The taste is full bodied right from the start. The Serie 1926 is the strongest Padron cigar I have ever smoked. The flavor is a full notch above the regular maduro anniversario line but the #6 was stronger than the #1.

At the midpoint, the taste was complex with coffee and earthy flavors. The 1926 was never harsh. At the end the cigar smoothes out, but the taste just gets fuller without being tiresome. This is one of the best cigars I have ever smoked.

... rjs

I was given the chance about a month or so ago to pick up a couple of these but ended up passing on them. I had a feeling that I made the wrong decision and that feeling has grown stronger after reading this especially since I love the anniversario line.

I had a #6 and RJS described it perfectly!

I could not definitively state that it was better than a 1964, but it was excellent & different tasting from a 1964.
Yum! :9
