Perdomo Lot 23 Review

Well had another Lot 23 tonight, decided to give a review on it. Iv only had 2, both were natural wrappers.

Perdomo Lot 23 Toro(6 x 50) - Natural

Construction: Beautifully rolled cigar, very firm, no soft spots. I had doubts that draw issues would come up because of how firm this cigar is.

Cut & Pre Light Draw: Used my Palio, cut perfectly. Took my pre light draw, to much amazement, the draw was PERFECT! There was a very distinct spice taste, maybe some cedar.

First 1/3: Toasted the foot, lite it up, the first draw was that spice I tasted pre light, ample ample amounts of smoke. The smoke was nice, thick and creamy white, perfect for blowing some thick perfect rings. The flavors during the first third were that spice, but it wasent overpowering, this cigar is very smooth, quite enjoyable so far. Burn is semi even, requiring one touch up.

Mid Way: Well mid way the flavors have changed, the spice has mellowed, this taste of oak has come into play, along with a taste I can not identify. The spice, oak, unidentifiable flavor however are all working wonderfully together, paired with the smooth nature of this cigar, im really enjoying this. Burn has pretty much been uneven the entire time, but I dont care one bit.

Last 1.5": The flavors have stuck to the mellowed out spice, oak, that one unidentifiable flavor. The smoke is still very thick, there is ample amounts of it, im loving it. Sitting outside with just my pool lights on, my Siberian Husky sleeping next to me, this night and cigar are perfect.

Other Comments: The ash was a light grey with darker grey spots, while the ash was not strong, was quite flimsy, didnt bother me. I nubbed this stick down to the point my fingers were getting quite toasty, but then I just set it down to go out peacefully. I love the concept of this cigar, the band is really nice, so are the boxes. I bought it, because I was searching the bottom shelf at my B&M and saw it, grabbed 2.

Final Thoughts: I really really enjoyed this cigar, the flavors were all there, I cant beat the price for the quality I got. I am going to be purchasing a box or two of each the Natural and Maduro, letting them have some time to rest in the Vino, come back to them later. These will only get better with age.

Price Paid: $4.25/stick

Final Rating: 8/10

It's on the edge, probably like an 8.8 if I were to go that into detail, lol. If the burn was better, it be a 9 easily.

Nice review.

I think ole Nick has hit a grand slam with the Lot 23. I really like them. Thing is, it's a winner and it's more reasonably priced than most other Perdomo sticks. I plan to keep them around for sure as well as the Habano line. Nick personally handed me my very first Habano Corojo and I loved it.

Re: Perdomo Lot 23

Nice review of a ESV tonight and was not let down. There a little more than the lot 23's but well worth it. Try to get your hands on one.

Smoking a robusto right now. Great smoke. Someone at a b&m told me that Perdomo is retooling the Cabinet line and that the current Cameroon wrapper has become to expensive. He also told me the new line would be out around October and that the ones he was given were great!

The lot 23 maduro is one of my go to everyday smokes. Hard to beat. Great review.
