Nat Sherman Metropolitan Review
I think if this had been a robusto or pc, perhaps my review would have been different. However, after smoking this sucker for about an hour and a half, I finally tossed it. What began as a pleasant mild flavor turned into one that I finally had enough of and had to ditch it. The construction was fine as was the burn. The only problem I had was the flavor. I'm not one that gets into mild cigars but I thought I'd give it a shot. Well, after doing so, never again. I've really tried hard coming up with a way to describe the flavor, but just can't seem to put words to it (sort of reminded of a menthol flavor in a distant way). I actually liked it at first, but then it finally became kind of nasty.
The interesting thing is that this flavor stuck with me for a couple of days. The smokes I had for the next two days had a hint of that flavor - I just couldn't shake it. I've never had this happen before. I finally had to just take a couple days off from smoking to shake it. At any rate, not a cigar that will ever see the light of day in my humi. ![]() |
