Flor de Copan Gordito Review

A nice lady friend of mine gifted me with a box of Flor de Copon Gordito's that she seen on JR Cigars specials. She knows I am getting back into cigars big time. Found JR cigars on her own. I should have know she was up to something one night when she kept asking questions on cigars.


I had one this evening and I have to say not bad at all. Not in the least.

Peppery at first and mellow later. Rather creamy and rich thick smoke and left my tongue tingling. Wonderful draw even tho I was uncouth enough to use my teeth to cut a hole in the cap. Was never harsh even at the last 5th of the cigar. Wonderful smoke all the way through. Great burn even tho I kind of freaked out when I took a good look at the ash about a third of the way in. Then realized that his was a Figueroa then things made sense. Was odd seeing a small ash on a fat cigar Not a bad cigar at all. Man now I wished I had seen that special on JR's page. Looks like she spent 30 bucks for 20 and after the one I Just had damn I think I missed out since they are sold out.

And the lady friend's only complaint was that for such a small box they sure packed it in a big box and padded the hell out of it. She is kind of and environmentalist and thought that was a waste. NOT I. The box was in perfect shape

I've had a few of these & had problems with the burn. I hope you have good luck with the rest of the box.

I do love the blend though.

Anyone had any experience with the parejo's? I might have to get a box someday soon.

Had my second and third one of them today and so far no issues with the burn kansashat. Sounds like you got the luck like I had with LA Gloria Cubana. Not found one that did not turn out to be a dug out, or turn into a pic of the bat cave about a third of the way in.

Aren't the FDC's going out of production?

It's a shame really, they were a good inexpensive cigar. I've had the perfecto's and the robustos and they were both decent smokes.

I believe they are. They were on clearance at JR's. Shame, I do like them.

I just realized that what I had was the torbustos.

I guess JR's is sold out. They had some pretty good pricing. They are still available elsewhere however.

Perhaps a large batch of em will show up at c-bid soon......

uuuhhh, opinions and cigars vary and all..........BUT..............the FdC's I have had were pretty bad. Didn't have burn or construction issues to speak of, but flavor was another matter. Just didn't do it for me......not even close!
