Great Pyramid...

Last year I acquired a Tradicion Cubana Great Pyramid.
Now in case you aren't familar with this one it 8.5x80
pyramid. They head is about a 48 and it tapers up to
80. This baby is a monster!

Well, two night ago I sat down to watch Monday Night Football.
Since I knew that I would be sitting there a while I decided
to get a big smoke to enjoy. I found this baby napping there
and taking up a ton of space in the humi. I decided it was its
night to burn.

This has a medium tan natural wrapper. The wrapper is a little
thin but it is smooth. The prelight aroma was good. The shape
of the cigar makes the 80 RG foot a little sponge while the main
body is firm.

Since this thing is soooooo large I got one of those long Bic
butane lighters that puts out a big flame to toast the foot.
I rolled it back and forth until the whole foot was charred.
Then I grabbed my lighter and allowed the flame to jump to the
foot as I drew. The draw was fine for such a long smoke, as was
the pre-light draw.

It taste had a light leather to it and a chocolate taste, like
bakers chocolate, not sweet. Most of the taste was straight up
tobacco. This lasted through the entire cigar. I was hoping
something would develop but it didn't.

This baby lasted about 2 hours and I put it down with about two
inches left. It was getting a little bit of a bitter harsh taste.
I did not notice much power to this and only had a little lip
numbness right where they touched the cigar after two hours of
smoking. The ash was not real firm and had to be tapped off
every 5/8ths of an inch so as not to make a mess since I was
smoking indoors.

It was a ok cigar, not bad but I've had better. It was fun
smoking this monster though. It lasted long enough that the
game was late in the 4th quarter and you did not want another
smoke to finish the game. I think it could be improved with
a good thicker maduro wrapper that would add to the taste.
