La Unica Cameroon Torpedo Review

Well I have had this for about 3 months in the humidor, but when I bought it, the cello was already turning yellow, the guy at the B&M said they had them for a long time(the whole box was full), so I said what the hell, bought one.

Construction: Seems as it was quickly rolled, its not very nice to look at. The wrapper is rough, the cap is poorly done.

Pre Light & Pre Light Draw: Put this stick under my nose, picked up barnyard, straight barnyard. I clipped the end with my Palio, took a pre light draw, draw is very loose. Its just like there is nothing there at all. Flavor from the pre light draw is hay and some spice.

First 1\3: Lite this guy up, he had some problems getting lite, but eventually it happened. The smoke is ample, but the stick is burning very hot already(probably due to the overly loose draw). Im getting that distinct cameroon flavors, that I usually enjoy but this time not so much. The burn is uneven, requiring 2 touch ups just to keep it burning semi evenly. It leaves a bitter aftertaste, that sticks to the back of your throat. Ash is very flimsy.

Half Way: Still have that bitter aftertaste, the flavors are that of the first third. Burn is still uneven, I have given up on trying to keep it maintained.

Last 1.5": Same flavors, its burning VERY hot now, my throat is damn hot, its not very pleasing.

Final Thoughts: This cigar has a rough appearance, very one dimensional. Flavors were spice, barnyard, burn was uneven, the draw way to loose, burns hot from start to finish.

I usually dont smoke 2 cigars a day(I smoke maybe 3 or 4 a week), I am going to find something else to lite up, get this nasty taste out of my mouth.

Rating: 3 out of 10

Edit: The only reason it got a 3, was because it had a cameroon wrapper, thats it.
