CAO Black VR Mural Review

This is a flavor-packed little bugger of smoke from end to end.

1st third: Right after toasting the foot and getting started I was hit with a rich coffee/cocoa flavor with just a touch of spice. A great burn with lots of light gray ash. It started out a little tight on the draw but I fixed that with my handy paperclip that I keep around.

Mid third: I felt a dryness on the tongue that reinforced the unsweetened cocoa flavor. Maybe just a little leather in there too. It was also just a touch smoother on taste.

Last third: Very similar taste profile all the way to the nub.

This was a very consistant and strong flavored smoke for me. My first CAO of any type and I was well please with what it brought me tonight. An 8+ in the rating department.

One of my favorites. I love those VRs.

Brought a box off Cbid a couple of months ago, smoked the first one a week or so ago. Agree with your review, except will add that due to the smaller RG and shorter length, not as storng of a hit from this size as form larger Blacks (which is a good thing, in my book, especially since I am currently gravitation towards smaller RGs.)

I rarely let my humi go without some VRs in it. They are one of my fallbacks.

Thanks for the review. I really like the Vr's in any size. Sometimes I go for the smaller rg and sometimes I like the larger ones. I like the CAO black but I really like the VR's.

I've never been a huge fan of the black. I know they are similar blends but the flavor has never been quite right for me.
