Construction: The stick is extremely well put together. The wrapper is smooth as silk, and the cap doesn't look sloppy in the least. I cut it with a guillotine cutter, and Ive never felt a cap as hard to cut as this one; the tobacco is packed EXTREMELY tightly. Draw is a bit tight, but nothing too bad. I had some difficulty lighting the stick, I think due both to my n00bishness and the sheer size of the stick.
Smoking experience: I'm not going to divide this one into thirds, since I didn't notice significant changes during the smoke. With the first puff I was met with a blast of pepper, which quickly quieted down into a very smooth and creamy smoke, with a slightly peppery finish. I also picked up the flavor of burnt wood. It seemed to want to go out quite a bit; if I let it sit for about a minute, I would have to puff quite a bit to make any smoke. This problem went away fairly quickly, though; it was behaving properly after about the first 1/4 inch (which is longer smoking time than you'd think!). The burn required several touch-ups; nothing major, but I did have pull out the lighter a few times. The ash was nice and white, but a bit flaky. The draw also loosened up the more I smoked.
Overall: Overall, I enjoyed this smoke, though not as much as I had hoped. I can't quite put my finger on why, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. Still, it was an enjoyable smoke, just not an incredible. I'd give it an
85. Oh, and here is the obligatory NUB stand pic (I did two, just for you guys
