Habano Toro by Pedro Estevez Review

Habano Toro by Pedro Estevez

Once again I am reviewing one of the cigars sent to me by Habanos & Hermanos. Here is the info from the web page.

Toro Cigar: Medium Bodied
Wrapper: Habano
Size: 6 x 52.
Brand: Pedro Estevez
Shape: Toro
Flavor: Medium
Size: 52 x 6 "

Pre light:

Nice looking wrapper varying in color from a orangey tan around minor veining to light milk chocolate brown near the edge of the leaf. I noticed the slight smell of straw on the on the wrapper leaf and nice draw after an easy cut with my XiKar cutter. The pre-light draw had just a hint of a tobacco taste.

Post light:

This cigar started out nice with a leathery taste and a little bit of red cedar spice on the retro-hale. The leather soon went away and a floral flavor took over for most of the smoke with just a hint of white pepper on the retro. The floral taste started out mild, slowly faded away and was totally gone around the beginning of the last third. All that was left at this point was the taste of tobacco smoke. It was very humid today and when I could keep this cigar burning the burn was nice and even but I did have to re-light several times.

Conclusion:

I found this smoke to be one-dimensional. The leather at the stare was nice but the floral flavor that predominated most of the burn was not to my liking. I may agree with their assessment of medium body as I did notice that this stick did offer some nicotine but I would put this one trick pony at very mild on flavor. Did I nub it? No.

Taste: Mild, Leather, Floral
Retro: red cedar spice, White pepper
Start 12:15pm Done 1:30pm

Disclaimer:

I received these cigars at no charge from Habanos & Hermano for the purpose of review. Other that I have not received any compensation from Habanos & Hermano, Pedro Estevez, any one associated with them for doing these reviews nor do I work for any of the above mentioned parties.
