Cusano Corojo Review

LAST EDITED ON Dec-28-01 AT 076 PM (CDT)

I saw a write up on these babies and decided to try them, at a little over 2 dollars a stick I didn't think I had much to lose. Boy was I surprised, a beautiful looking cigar that has a lot of punch with a spicy but sweet taste. A great cigar to sit down and read a book and enjoy a brandy with. Easy to light, burns true, and is potent from the first puff. I recommend them to all. Rick

RE: Cusano Corojo

I guess none of you guys are interested in a great cigar that you can buy for under 50 a box. I have smoked about half a box now and it will be my everyday cigar from now on. I like it as much as the Ashton VSG and the CAO Extreme.

Hey edisonbird...

First....welcome to the jungle.

Second....Thanks for the review. Like I said to another new poster who felt the same way as you seem to feel about not getting responses: It's not personal. Many gorillas are out of town (some out of the country) or have other pressing family-type commitments during the holidays and are not active on the board. And then there are some, like mcgoospot in Buffalo, who have tons of snow pressing on them.

I feel for mcgoospot, I live in Florida, but am originally from North Dakota. The weather is a little better here.

What this country needs is a good 10 cent cigar

Re: Cusano Corojo

Thought I'd bring this review back out of the coolidor....

I had a Cusano (1997) Corojo Torpedo this afternoon that was KILLER

I bought these about a year ago and have smoked a few of them ~5 since.

I was kinda down on them this summer because the flavor seemed to be off compared to when I bought them.

However, I lit one up this afternoon and OHHHH man what a difference! The flavor was teetering on that Cuban Twang.

Wait I know what you're thinking.....

that treasoneous bastage now!

I'll I can tell you is that it was really good. Great taste / burn / construction. So, I was setting there freezing my ARRRSE off, trying to think how to describe it and it came to me....

It had a medicinal/menthol/piney flavor. This flavor was pretty consistant through out the entire cigar that was kicked up in the last third.

I have never had a cigar with this same flavor profile, but I was very impressed.

Highly Recommended

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to edisonbird again.
