Gurkha Nepalese Warrior: A Musical Experiment

My experiment was to listen to a playlist on my iPhone to determine if mellow music and harder music would effect the taste of a given cigar.

I randomly selected the Gurkha Nepalese Warrior to pair with a selected playlist.

I clipped the cap and applied the flame while Johnny Cash's version of If You Could Read My Mind started on the shuffle cycle.

Smooth start without the sometimes harsh flavor I find in many cigars upon lighting. Some earthy flavor with a hint of black olives which I love and generally always get on pizza and salads.

Cash gave way to John Conlee's Miss Emily's Picture and the flavor was maintained in its gentle smooth flavors bordering on leather.

I sat outside on this beautiful young Sunday and the weather was gorgeous, a stark contrast to what the Gulf coast will soon endure. I was easily put into a serene state of mind as great clouds of smoke were carried away by the gentle breeze.

John Conlee soon gave way to another Cash selection, Hurt, one of his true masterpieces and a honest masterpiece of music period. The flavors were still maintaining as this was turning into an extrodinary smoke.

As Hurt was wrapping up Red Sovine's Phantom 309 came on followed by Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird, the demo version from the box set.

Again the flavors were so enjoyable it was outstanding! I have to say this was a very consistant cigar and might find its way into a steady rotation!

The harder songs started to randomly come up as W.A.S.P's Thunderhead started with the melancholy produced opening and Blackie's stained vocals sang of heroine addiciton.

Guns N Roses Civil War was next followed by Led Zeppelin's Going to California.

Cash's cover of Wichita Lineman and Thirteen rounded out the playlist as the last third of this great cigar came to a close.

What I didn't notice was the nic buzz that was creeping up on me. I actualy stumbled a bit getting up to let the last third of the cigar die out on the ground.

I know a lot of Gorillas listen to smoking music and I do a lot as well if I'm not reading. I'd say that the state of mind that this experiment induced was a thing of beauty!

A great smoke with some great songs!

I smoked one of these no too long ago, and really liked it. It was gifted to me in a bomb by my friend DrHalle (one of his favorites).

Yeah, it was more weighted to the country side of things. Next time I'll have a more balanced playlist
