El Rico Habano Habano Club Review

A very ugly cigar, with many large veins and a rough wrapper. The cigar lit easily and burned fairly evenly. The cigar was well packed and the ash held on for about 1 1/2 inches. At first there was a prominent bitter taste to the cigar, but it disappeared after a while, but reappeared later near the end of the smoke. The cigar was light to medium in strength and body and left a horrible aftertaste in my mouth.

Grade: C-

I definately wouldn't buy these.

Was it from the new ones that LGC just reblended or was it from those horrible bundles that I handed out for that last blindsmoke?

It was just as ugly as the ones you sent out for the blind smoke so I would imagine that this was one of the old ones. I don't remember the cigar from the blind smoke being this bad, but this size was awful.

I just bought a box of the double coronas after being gifted one. I thought this cigar was great. Spicey and full bodied, but not harsh or over powering. I believe my box is the newer blend though.

Great day today.....grilled some fine steaks and chops...washed it down with a 1990 Napa cab and kissed my wife and son....went down to the cellar...opened the coolerdor....grabbed the newer blend el rico habano Habano Club....ran out to the porch and lit this stick up.
Construction and draw were just fine. However, it has an ultra-light
taste...no flavor...great kick, though. Smoked it to the end...still no flavor. Didn't want to waste this great weather.....I looked over my shoulder.....the weber grill is still putting out great volumes of thick white smoke. A lightbulb blinked in my head....I stood next to my 20 year old weber grill....opened my mouth...and sucked in deeply all those tasty charcoal fumes. I then noted some fine cocoa notes with coffee hints that this ERH habano club was missing. Can't be doing this all the time....neighbors will talk.
