El mejor espresso Review

I got gifted one of these in a trade and I decided to fire it up last night before work. This is the first time I've tried this cigar. Immediately I noticed the chocolaty smell before lighting up. I cut it with my xikar and torched the foot. The first thing I noticed was the spongy feeling of the cigar. I don't think I have ever felt a cigar that moved so much. After getting it lit it bellowed plumes of rich chocolaty creamy smoke. There seemed to be burn issues with this one as I had to touch it up 5 or so times. It was in 65 degrees at 66-67% humidity for 2 weeks. The good news is my girlfriend tired it and liked it. She also like the Perdomo Lot 23 Robusto size. There is still hope for her yet!

Construction: 6.5/10
Not well packed, spongy and the band fell off on it's on

Quality: 7/10

It was a decent smoke even though it had multiple burn issues.

Flavors:

Chocolaty cream with hints of coffee. More prevalent while blowing out the nose.

Re: El mejor espresso

Nice review on a good cheap smoke. These are 100% better after 6-8 months in the low 60s humidity. They burn better and mellow out into a nice mild morning cigar.

See, if you were coming to the herf I coulda gave you one that has been sleeping for a year or so.

Re: El mejor espresso

I'm glad to see that there is hope for these. 3 or 4 months ago I picked up a five pack and smoked one right off the truck. It was salty and acrid...not to mention spongy. I smoked the second one a month later with similar results. Now, I don't plan on touching the other three until the new year sometime when Wisconsin thaws out. These should be pretty good this July!

Put them away for at least this long. They get much better.
