Taboo Limited Reserve Connecticut Torpedo Review

So I saw the deal on the 9 pack sampler of the Limited Reserve's from Taboo, and I had to bite on it, since I like everything Taboo puts out, I figured this was no exception. I lit up the Connecticut torpedo to have with my coffee this AM, so here is a review!

Pre-Light: As I took this cigar out of the cello, the first thing I noticed was the incredible construction. This thing was just about perfect, with no major veins, or wrapper flaws. I ran the cigar across my nose, and got some nice creamy notes with some spice and wood smells. I clipped it with my trusty Palio and took a pre light draw. On the draw, I noticed more of the same creamy flavors, and subtle woodiness. The draw was feeling just about perfect!

1/3: As I lit this up and took a few puffs, the first thing I noticed was that the draw was just how I like it. Not too tight, but not loose either. Second was the incredible smoke I was getting from this cigar. The flavors were well balanced creaminess, with a cedar taste, and a little spice on the end. Really enjoying it for the first portion!

2/3: As I continued on this cigar, I was getting more of that smooth creamy flavor, with hints of wood and leather, and still some spice on the finish. Great billowing smoke, the burn was perfect, and the draw was still fantastic. At this point, this cigar, although milder than I am used to, is about ready to become a regular in my rotation.

3/3: As I finished up this cigar, I got more of the same creaminess, but the spice kicked it up a notch, and the wood flavors dropped into the background a little bit. I was really really enjoying this smoke. Its definite now that this smoke will become something regular in my rotation.

Overall Impression: Overall, this was a darn tasty smoke. It wasn't overly complex, but the flavors were consistent, and very tasty. I would suggest everyone try these smokes! They make a great morning smoke with coffee. Thanks to Rob at Taboo for the killer deal on these smokes! Below is a pic of how it ended for me.... My lips were burning

Re: Taboo Limited Reserve Connecticut Torpedo

Great review.... I just had the same smoke as you last night and found it very smooth. I'm also a full body cigar smoker, but this torpedo surprised me for a mild-medium smoke.... Great smoke all the way through and I also smoked it right to the end.....

I can't wait to smoke more of the Taboo's I bought....

This new LR blend (Conn) is getting the same response from my local customers. I don't care for Conn wrappers for the most part, but I'm with most folks on this blend. This cigar should surprise most folks. Great cigar. Thanks for the comments and reviews.

I also think the Figurados in all three new LR blends are the best of the three vitolas. I would like to take a poll in Nov/Dec and see what others think.
Thanks for trying our new blends

I'm not a Conn fan at all, but might just give these a shot. Thanks for the review, Scott
