mayorga...maduro robusto Review

put em to sleep a year ago and its time to sample.yes i am guilty of falling for cA ratings from time to time(had to get the one with raquel welsh in it too).

these are beauties to look at...dark,oily and square.they will never roll off the table.
prelight was suprizingly tasty(kinda salty),good unlit draw and nice smell.

a little tough to light and get going.burn was not so good ,because of the corners i guess.

pretty yummy smoke...salty leathery and a bit of pepper.medium to medium full flavored.

overall rating...8.3 to 8.5 would be higher if it burned better.

good smoke but i still get the impression i just smoked a young cigar, would not hesitate to smoke another(39 to go)

RE: mayorga...maduro robusto

I'm had quite a few of these in the past and I love them. Because the maduro wrapper seems to hold so much moisture, I find that they burn a lot better if you let them sit out of the humidor for about 6 hours before smoking. Usually if I do that they burn perfectly.

I just read that in about a month mayorga is releasing a new line of more powerful cigars, kind of like how most manufacturers are releasing Fuerte lines. Hopefully they will be as good as the first line.
