Cusano 18 Toro Review
This was a nice mild smoke. It is 6 1/4 " x 46 with a Connecticut Shade wrapper and binder, which mellows it our a bit more. It uses some tobacco that is aged 18 years in the filler, thus the name. I bought a few of them for less than $4 each, which seems to be a good price for this type of smoke.
The construction was OK. The wrapper was very smooth, the draw easy. It looked like a premium cigar. It did seem a little soft in spots though. THe burn was even, but a little on the quick side for the length. The ash was a little loose and did not hold firm. The taste was very mild at first and really lacked much of any flavor. That changed in short order though. It picked up more flavor quickly after about 1/2" was gone with a light coffe with a touch of nutmeg. It slowly picked up more flavor as it went on, but remained pretty mild all the way through. It was nice on the nose with a sweet aroma and a light smoke. This would be a good match with a sweet licquor or an Irish Coffe. It is a nice mild smoke that I enjoy from time to time when I am in the mood for a mild smoke. They construction had some flaws, but they were minor. It is something I would keep in the humidor for friends who like something mild, or for someone who wants to try their first smoke. All in all I think it is a good smoke, but I have to be in the mood for something mild.

Re: Cusano 18 Toro
Nice review. I used to really enjoy these when I first started smoking, but got way too mild for me.

Re: Cusano 18 Toro
I tried the Maduro version today. It had a simular start, but had a little more flavor through the rest of the cigar. Had some Dark Chocolate tones in there. The constuction was pretty much the same, there were a couple of soft spots. But all in all a great smoke. I think I like the Maduro a little better myself.
