I do a simple impression of the cigar what I liked or disliked and have a 5 point scale

1 dog rocket. This is a crappy cigar. Of course better than a machine rolled. But harsh. Fast and got burn. Bad flavor or no flavor.

2. Yard gar. This is a descent smoke but its okay to smoke it if your are working in the yard. Or don't have time to finish.

3. Good smoke. Better than a yard gar. Hate to not finish it.

4. Premiums. these are great smokes. You will want to take your time. Have it with friends really enjoy it. They will be in your top 25.

5. Super premiums. These are your top 5 cigars. They are well constructed. Burn well. Taste awesome.

Ok.

Slow aged by perdomo.

I've given you guys a 5 and a high 3 so far. Going to round it out with at least one at each level so you guys get a feel for what I like and then can read my future reviews saying to yourself. Hey my tastes are similar to his. I'll take his opinion. Or the opposite.

I smoked the glorioso size in natural and maduro.

These are a 2 almost the definition of yard gar. Cheap at less than 2 bucks a stick but decent quality and fairly tasty. They both have that nicaraguan pop. Rich smoke that covers the pallate. Little harsh through the nose.

The natural is not quite as rich but the maduros richness turns to bitterness about halfway through.

Good for a quick smoke that you don't care if you'll finish or even when you think the wife may interrupt for chores or fun!!!

Like I said the quintessential yard gar

Although Predomo claims these are slow aged, I believe the 826 needs a little more slow aging. Not sure how long you gave them but if you let them sleep for a good 6 months they change dramatically. I often find them a bit harsh and green ROTT.

Hi Coz,

I usually smoke a few of any brand/size/wrapper before making conclusions but I expect and hope that you're right that they will improve with aging.

I only smoked one (1) that was smooth and too light until I relit when it became an unsmokeable bear.

Regards,

Pete

These are a damn good smoke if you let them sit in the humi for a few months. After some aging I dont find them harsh at all.

Hi Koby,

Glad to hear that because it's a nicely made stick at a reasonable price.

The 'bear' after relighting was all nicotine rather than flavor (sorry - I should have been more specific).

Regards,

Pete
