LGC Torpedo (Maduro) Review

Dear LLGs,

I am back from a 2-weeks business trip to Italy, where I had the chance to buy some boxes of ISOMs (but this is another story...); and, happening to be smoking a LGC Torpedo, I searched the forum and the lack of reviews for the LGC made me write this one...
This cigar has a great look: dark, dark maduro wrapper, no veins, almost flawless, great construction. Quickly cut the tip of the beautifully rolled cup, I found an easy and light pre-light draw; burning was average in time at start, but then really even, almost perfect I should say, no tunneling, no corrections, grey and thick ashes, I had to almost push the first chunck down after more than an inch to avoid the classic "ash on the keyboard" situation...
Tastewise, I find this one a medium to full bodied, woodsy cigar, with hints of chocolate after the first inch and some roasted taste all the way through; not so complex, but certainly not one-dimensional either; sometimes some coffee kicks in, sometimes is almost earthy; power is something that will not scare likers of mild smokes, no buzz, no bad aftertaste...
Overall, a perfectly build and enjoyable 5/6 bucks smoke that lasts for more than an hour; as an everyday smoke, however, the price is a bit high and the Padrons or the Punchs will rather be my choice for the bucks...
Enjoy!
