Quick review - Illusione Holy Lance (HL)

quick disclaimer, as I stated before: I am not a lancero guy, I generally prefer a larger ring gauge.

Now, I have an exception. The Illusione "Holy Lance".

Perfectly constructed exterior and, with the exception of a plug at one point, a maintenance free smoke.

I have been a bit under the weather, so my palate was not quite calibrated, but it was a very smooth, some would say 'creamy' smoke. The whole think kind of reminded me of a relaxing cup of coffee. I picked up a hint of roasted almonds that faded in and out throughout the smoke, which was joined by jolts of spice here and there. I did not find it overly complex, though I did find it VERY enjoyable. Time to smoke: just under 2 hours. Also, they are good right out of the box, no need to age. Did I mention I used to not smoke lanceros?

All in all, I would say an enjoyable stick for a 'change of pace' if you prefer fuller bodied smokes - AND, very manageable and should be quite enjoyable if you are a 'newbie' to cigars and would like to try some of the more talked about smokes out there.

Fear not the nicotine power of the HL- you can hack it. And, I highly reccomend it.

Love these things, bought a fiver, and once I am done buying a few more boxes of CC's, this will be a box purchase. Great review for a great stick!

Nice review, but all of the HL's I've had were bland and not that great. Glad your HL was better.
