Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Maduro Review

Well this is my 1st review...I recieved this stogie from 5thDan in a newbie swap.Fired it up during half time of the Bronco-Patriot game.It had somewhat of a tight draw at first. This cigar burned evenly to the end of the 4th quarter of the game, nice. The initial taste was somewhat of a bitter sweet..like the after taste of semi-sweet chocolate, with out the sweetat least that is what it reminded me of .Produced nice full bodied smoke. Now, half way during the smoke, it hit me with a very sharp peppery spice....very nice. This was constant till the very end.Never burned hot nor did it need any touching up.No bad after taste and ash was not flakey at all.Good smoke, good football game.Remember,I am not an expert, please go easy on me

Good review. Pretty much dead on . This is the first "good" cigar that I ever smoked and the one that got me started. I've found more cigars that I like better but I still burn one of these for old time sake.

Good review. RyJ's have always been one of my faves, the reserves one of my go-to smokes.

Good game, too.

Re: Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Maduro

The maduros have always been a favorite smoke of mine in the morning when I want something milder. The cost prevents me from buying them as often as I like though. Great first review, keep'em coming.

Re: Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Maduro

I havent smoked many of these but I have enjoyed all that Ive had so far. A good quality smoke, more on the mellow side and perfect when relaxing or zoning on the deck in the evening.

Nice review...

I just got 10 of those. I would have to agree with your assessment of the cigar. Very accurate description. I also got 10 Macanudo maduros. I have only smoked one of each, but I enjoyed them both; however, I still like the El rey del Mundo maduros better and the El Reys are cheaper.

mikey202 glad you liked the cigar. Its one of my goto cigars. I like the spicy tastes and the volume of smoke they produce. I like to keep a box or two sitting in the coolador all the time.

Re: Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Maduro

Nice first review. Last one of these I had at the tinderbox in Columbus. There was this woman in there asking about the relative merits of the different flavors of Acid cigars. Too funny watching the manager try to keep a straight face and talk about the various noxious flavors.

Well made, burn well. Have become to mild for my ashtray of a palette.
