Omar ortez original torpedo Review

Omar ortez original torpedo

Nice looking stick. Great burn and draw. Smooth flavor in the smoke and easy through the nose. I find myself really wanting to like this stick but there is an acidic aftertaste that is really putting a damper on it.

About halfway through the acid taste falls away and it is really mostly worth the wait. Again nice tasting rich smooth smoke. But a strange aftertaste early on. I had almost regulated this boy to the yard gar category.
Its powerful giving a little buzz which is nice for a smooth stogie. Reminds me of the la flor Dominica double liguero.

I know you guys would like some pics but the blackberry browser just won't browse for the pics with the phone and I do these reviews while I smoke and not sitting at a computer. I'll see what I can figure out

[SIZE=3]I agree Shawn, I found them a little harsh until about an inch in. then for me a beautiful smoke...one I pick up for about 3 bucks, when I am getting low.
This is one of my stables in the Humi.

This review made me dig one of these bad boys out. Great cigar. Mine have about 11-12 months rest on them and have smoothed out but kept their "oomph". I should grab another box soon.

Re: Omar ortez original torpedo

Just picked up a fiver of the toros on the devil site for about $2. They're resting from their travel. I might try one in a week or two and let the others age for awhile.

Thanks for the review.

IMO they need quite a bit longer than that. Give 'em at least a couple of months. The torp I smoked the other day still got a little harsh around 2" and I got the box almost a year ago.

But then again, I do tend to smoke too fast.
