La Escepcion Especiales Review

This was a great looking cigar with a silky smooth wrapper, a little dark and very oily. The cap was kind of ugly but I cut it off anyways so who cares.

The draw was a bit tight, I let it sit for a day and it didn't loosen up any. The burn was a little uneven at first but after an inch it quickly evened out. The ash was white and flacky, nothing bad though.

Flavor wise this was a pretty good cigar. There were hints of chocolate and cedar with a slight sweetness on the palate (probably due to the nic. filler). This is a big cigar and takes quite a time commitment. This cigar measure 7.25 x 54 with the smallest cigar in the line coming in at 6.25 x 48. If they made a robusto for this line I would be in heaven. As it is I don't usually have enough time to really enjoy one.

I did enjoy this one however and I give it a B-. The flavor was pretty good but the tight draw was a real let down. Since J.J. has spoken so highly of these I will have to try one again and hope for a better draw.

RE: La Escepcion Especiales

I guess I must give this cigar another try. I was gifted one, and tossed it 15 minutes in. It jsut didn't hit the spot for me.

Being it was one of the small ones, I'll try a big mone next.
