Is the Rocky Patel SG in the same league as an Ashton VSG?
Are they similar? I have smoked quite a few Ashton VSG's but was not impressed with the RP vintage.

Not even in the same class. I'm a VSG whore, love 'em almost as much as the PAM64. I just acquired a box of RP SG. I've smoked a couple. It's a fine cigar, but not comparable to the VSG. It's a lot more mild in comparison.

Thanks. Won't waste my money then. I really like the Ashton VSG torps.

I found the opposite to be true, VSG's being much milder then the Rockys. I've been dissapointed with VSG's lately. The last half dozen I've smoked have been lackluster, definately not worth the money, unlike the VSG robustos I had a year or two ago.

I picked up the torp as well as at a local shop last weekend. It is still waiting in the humi. I figured I had to give it a try as it was the first time I've actually found any RP in a local shop. Although ... I am expecting a shipment from cbid that includes some Edge by RP that I am looking forward to trying as well.
