Butera Vintage No. 550 Maduro Review

I lit this baby up on saturday while outside enjoying the weather.

The appearence of this cigar is nothing awesome. Just your average conneticut wrapper, dark and oily. The construction was great. A nice firm cigar that burned evenly with a nice firm ash.

If you are a fan of spicy cigars, you need to try this cigar. It starts out with a spicy flavor and mellows out into a smooth creamy smoke. It was hard for me to put my finger on some of the flavors but I truely loved the cigar.

Grade: B+ which is what T25C gave this cigar. I totally agree with everything they said. Its a truely great smoke, I only wish my tobacconist carried them.

Thanks for the review. You hit it on the head about the spicy taste, yet still retaining the creamy flavor. I wish the flavor was a little fuller, but the 550 mad is still a good smoke.

I wonder if the Butera line has "come back" from some of the quality problems of a couple of years ago? My early experience with them was nothing but good. They only had the natural wrappers at that time. My second box disappointed me. Maybe I'll try a stick or two again.

Damn! Another one that sounds interesting. Now I will have
to go shopping for this one. I had some Nicos that were real spicey but alas I cannot find them anymore. I think it was a boom brand.
