Padron 64th anni Review

I know all of you guys have smoked this stick but tonight, I had my first one. I couldn't take pics because the phone died and I couldn't find my digital camera

It was packed with tobacco and the box press felt nice in my hand. Prelight draw and smell were deep and well rounded. I couldn't wait to light it up so.........I lit it up.

First inch had fulll flavors and some nice spice. Heavy white pepper and some cedar with nice volume of smoke. Uneven burn for a bit but that was because my Ronson ran out of fuel while lighting it and I didn't drag my ass back into the house to refill it.

After the first inch or so, this baby opened up. Good spice, earthiness and a hint of cocoa while maintaining a subtle sweetness. I paired this with a bourbon so it bought the sweetness out further.

Halfway through, the ash dropped but the flavor gained IMO. Cedar, spice, a hint of espresso and leather came into play. The strong coffee ramped up in the last inch and a half or so.

Smoked this puppy until my bottom lip felt like a fried pork rind. It stayed cool, full flavored and medium bodied the whole time, I can now see what the fuss was all about and I think it was a perfect way to end a busy week. Thanks for listening.

Re: Padron 64th anni

To me, this is one stick that just gets better and better with each puff until you reach the end. In fact, when I first spark one up, I always think, "what's all the fuss about?" By the 1/2 way point, I'm not wondering anymore. Probably the reason I greatly prefer the Monarca to the Exclusivo. It has more time to get better and better.

Nice review, which vitola did you smoke?

One of the more important aspects of the Anniversary's to me is that they are so dependable.
Pricey but always good

Try the 1926 and then it will be all over. These have to be some of the finest sticks made.

Re: Padron 64th anni

Thanks for the review. These Padron 1964s are one of my favorite smokes. Every one I've had was consisently good. They all felt very firm to the touch and you think that the draw will be a little tight based on that but the draw was perfect every time. That ash they leave are light grey, with speckles, just beautiful.... I gotta have one now.

It is a great cigar. I have been enjoying these for a long time now. This was my first cigar that really made me say WOW.
