Tatuaje Black Review

Date: 10/18/08

Cigar: Tatuaje Black Label (5 3/4 x 46)

Cost: $15

Drink: Mountain Dew

Appearance: 1 banded cigar that says "Tatuaje" on the band with a black background.

Pre-light: Didn't really have any scent to it.

Taste of the cigar: It was hard for me to describe the taste. I would say semi sweet tobacco with a little bit of spice.

Construction: Held an long ash. The draw was perfect. The cigar had a razor sharp burn and didn't require any touchups.

Strength: This was a medium-full flavored cigar.

Summary: This cigar was delicious. I wish Pete Johnson would make more of these. I would definitely buy this again. I give this a 9/10.

Thanks for the review. I have yet to try this Tatuaje. I will definitely have to give it a go.

Re: Tatuaje Black

this is my favorite cigar, at the moment. first one i had was good and worth a second try. the second one was magical. then again, i had good company both times and that always adds to the experience.

Actually I think they are getting harder to find. Over all it is probably my least favorite Tat.

I like em, I am sitting on about 10. I might smoke one this weekend, but unfortunately once they're gone -- they're gone.

I agree. Big hype with little payoff, imo. Don't get me wrong, they are good but nowhere near the best of the Tats and they are not worth my time to seek them out.

Word on the strret is that there is supposed to be a Black robusto in the works. Of course I will have to try it . What with being a Pepin whore and all.

I've had the Robusto. It's the stick that Pete hands out sometimes as freebies when you buy a box at tastings.

Re: Tatuaje Black

I've had a Robusto, and it was pretty good. Not as good as La Riqueza, in my opinion.
