Am Smokin a Tempus Robusto $10 stick. Anyone else???

I stop at the B&M in Clinton NJ and chat a while. My eyes catch up to a Tempus.
RATED 94....WOW!!
Will it be worth $10???

Nice dark wrapper. Great size for a stick in the car.
snip the cap, pre lite draw is hinting of nice pleasantries to come. Woodsy and tobacco flavors...
Light it up and the hour smoke was a nice experience.
I'm not going to buy a box.
BUT
I will be looking for a fiver to putr in the box to rest for a few months.
The tastes were not promintent to me. There was a lot of earthy tastes and goodness
BUT
This left me wanting more. It was lacking somehow...
I FEEL that the stick has not matured ...or the tastes have not POPPED...just yet.
I have high expectations of this smoke...but after it has rested in my humi for a few months...
YES!
Months...

There is something about this TEMPUS cigar that is alluring without delivering the goods.

Anyone have any tastes of this stick yet?

I think the lancero is best of the bunch. They seem to produce tons more smoke than alot of other nc lanceros.

Also, AB advertises heavily in CA.

I loved the PC, and ordered a box of them from my local B&M. Of course, the robusto's showed up and I just took them thinking the blend would be good in the robusto size. It wasn't nearly as good as the PC I smoked.

My thoughts are that the magic is in the wrapper, and the Robusto's ring gauge is a bit too much to let thew wrapper shine.

Aaahhh...Great info.
I am a believer in small RG will yield more taste...

So maybe the robusto will not bloom as I hope.
PC and Lancero will be on my list.

I had the Centuria about 2 months ago (that's a Churchill) and I wasn't blown away. I wanted to LOVE it and I expected it to be awesome for getting a 94 but I kinda wonder the same thing Greg is....

I just smoked the belicoso Friday (there was an Alec Bradley event at my B&M) and thought it was a damned good smoke for the first half. The last half was kind of uninspiring but the first half was totally worth it. I loved it. I'll have to try the lancero or petite corona now.

Tempus is a pretty solid mid range smoke for $6 or so.

I bought mine at a B&M in Torrance for $14 "before prices go up because of the 94 rating". Boy, was I a sucker.

I was gifted a robusto. It was GOOD. $10 a stick good? No.
