Puros Indios Churchill Review

I have always had this in my HUMI...For over 20 years this is a brand that I ALWAYS enjoy.

This is a pleasure to smoke. Construction is great. Nice solid stiock, just the right amount of give to some pressure.
Cap snipped off with a first time Havana clipper. Nice cutter....it is...

Volumes of smoke, pleasant tasting. In the Medium category to my taste.

This is a staple of my humi.
I'd go to buy them.
I think they're < $2 stick.
Tom

The only one I had seemed real harsh and bitter. After reading this review I believe I'll give them another try.

re: Puros Indios Churchill Review

I have a few Puros Indios from a stash of cigars that I had prior to moving and divorce. Some classics that I'd like to have back, but oh well. All the others were "lost" or destroyed but I found a partial box of PI Robustos in an old cooler. They had gotten moldy and dried out but were still in one piece. So I CAREFULLY took off the cellophane and cleaned them up, rehydrated them and about a year ago smoked one. This cigar was 12 years old, had been through hell, and wouldn't you know, it smoked like a dream. It was a fantastic smoke. So many nuances of flavor that I can't describe. Best NC that I've had, no matter what price range. Now I have 3 left and I'm waiting for some special day soon to try one again.

re: Puros Indios Churchill Review

Two years ago bought a few boxes from a B&M that was changing hands. These had been on a shelf in the walk in humi for about two years. With 4 years of time on them they were VERY nice.

Way back during the Boom years I tried several sticks and can recall a bitter, Ammonia taste with all of them.

Holts has a nice deal on PI's right now.

Re: Puros Indios Churchill Review

I had one about a few months ago that I didn't like. I tried another after it did some time in my humi and it was sweet. I now like about everything that the old man makes. I have a batch of the 6.75X64 Piramids which are really nice. I just ordered a couple of bundles of Flor Del Todo which Reys now makes. I'm hoping that with some humi time they'll be a decent smoke.
