Savinelli Special Selection 2004 Review

Had this in my humidor for about a month now and decided to light it up today.

Great Looking smoke even before i lit it up. And smelled even better.

Cut the end off and tested the draw. It was a little tight but decided to move on anyway. It lit well and put out some great white smoke. Started on the mild to medium side of the taste spectrum with a hint of caramel and coffee in it.

10 minutes in

30 minutes in

The ash held on to be about an inch and a half before it fell off. It burned great and even all the way down. About half way through the flavor started to get a little more spice to it which was nice and became more of a medium body smoke.

1 hour in

It took about an hour and a half to smoke this down to the last inch or so where i couldn't keep it lit due to the tightness of the end. So frustration set in and i gave up.

Overall i would give the cigar an A- becuase of the taste, but have to go with a B+ because of the tight draw. I will definately be getting some more of these.

Re: Savinelli Special Selection 2004

what do you consider a 6 month smoker. i would occasinally smoke a cigar over the last few years but have only started being serious about it in the last 4 months or so.
