Sancho Panza - Extra Fuerte Review

Now I love the regular Sancho Panza, I'll probably put a review up for that as well, but the Extra Fuerte, WOW! I'm a match guy, and some cigars take a while to light up, but the EF lit up after two matches, I used a third, just to be safe.
First Draw was smooth, not like an Ashton Maduro, rather it tasted like a Padron 2000, but with a gentle hint of spice. That's how it felt for the first 5th of the cigar, but after that the spice flavor was obvious.
I took my time smoking the cigar, I feel like when I smoke too quickly I get more smoke and less flavor. Also I usually tend to hold the smoke in my mouth a little extra to get a taste, so after a while it felt like I was chewing a cinnamon gum. Have you ever started chewing a cinnamon gum and when the flavor is watery you lay it on your tongue and you get the feel of the spice? If you haven't try it! That's how my tongue felt half way through the cigar.
Now I don't drink alcohol, but I had an O'douls with the cigar, and I can tell you that was not a wise choice, you do not want that combination. I feel like tea would go well. No spicy tea, or flavored for that matter, not even earl grey, because you only want to taste the cigar flavor. A regular black tea would go well with the EF, I feel like it would wash away some of the cigar flavor and it would allow you to get a new hit of spice. That's what I'll have with my next EF!
Over all it was a great experience, and a nice time, specially for the $3/stick price.

Nice review and nice thoughts on the tea. I also find that water with a bit of lemon squeezed in it will cleanse the palate very well.

Yes, I was wondering about that. Because cigars like the Extra Fuerte are so rich that you can taste them over subtle things like tea, but I don't think it would work for everything. Next time I'll try the water with lemon!

Good review. I like the Extra Fuerte much better than it's brother Double Maduro.
