Thumbs up Montecristo Club Cabinet #30 Review

After reading many other reviews and smoking a lot more cigars, I’m going to take a shot at an numerically rating system based on a few overall critical of “Overall Appearance,” being 12%, “Construction and Draw being” being 19%, “Burn” being 19%, and “Taste” being the remaining 50%.

Montecristo Club Cabinet #30, $5 from CigarBid

Overall Appearance: Bad (0), OK (1), Good (2)
Appearance: OK (1)
Consistency of Wrapper: OK (1)
Construction and Draw: Bad (0), OK (1), Good (2)
Construction too Lose/Hard: Good (2)
Draw too Easy/Hard: Good (2)
Well Made: Good (2)
Burn: Bad (0), OK (1), Good (2)
Initial: Good (2)
Even: Good (2)
Too Fast/Slow: Good (2)
Taste: Bad (0), OK (2), Good (4)
First Third: Good (4)
Second Third: Good (4)
Final Third: OK (2)
Complexity: Good (4)
Total score of 28 out of 32 – 88%

Review
1st Third

The initial draw was amazing. No harshness throughout the stick, just deliciousness. Chocolate, cream, and wood flavors invaded my palette. It mellowed out after a few draws into a silky smooth sweetness.
2nd Third

The flavors picked back up with chocolate, and leather being the dominate flavors.
3rd and Finish

Many of the previous flavors mellowed out and a strong black coffee flavor came into play; not very bitter, but a good strong punch.
Thoughts
Appearance wise, it is not the best looking cigar, but the construction and burn was spot on, and the flavor was definitely there. This is definitely a good cigar, and I am sure to have a few of these around. A great cigar at $5 too is a good value in my eyes also.
