This beauty comes in a cedar sleeve, wrapped in cellophane:
Dark, slightly oily, somewhat veiny, toothy warpper:
The prelight draw was somewhat woodsy, slightly sweet. After lighting, it starts out fairly mild with just a hint of wood and spice. After the first inch, it takes on a medium body, and I pick up some roasted coffee, and a little dark chocolate; these flavors wax and wane into the second third, as the intensity builds ever so gradually, at this point taking on an earthy/woodsy quality as well. By the final third, a little spice kicks in. Beautifully balanced and smooth throughout - medium body all the way. Draw was easy, with just a tad of resistance, supplying loads of smoke. Burn and construction was perfect - no relights or touch-ups required over the 1 hour and 40 mins I spent enjoying this stick. The ash was incredibly smooth and almost white; unfortunately I was unable to capture it my pics as I knocked it off every time while fumbling with my camera.
This is not an in-your-face cigar. Rather, it is subtle and refined. If cigars were cars, the Peppin blends I've enjoyed so much lately would be Ferraris and Hummers. The Sabor Cubano would be a Lexus or Mercedes, at a Camry price.
