Padron 2000 Maduro aka "I'm Done Searching" Review

Shape: Robusto
Wrapper: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua

I've been smoking Padron 2000's for a while now, and I feel like it was time to break it down up in hia...
The cigar is great. Dark wrapper that just yells Maduro. Reminds me of a baby Ashton Maduro. The pre draw is strong, it tells you what you're about to get into, and so does the smell, in general a serious strong cigar, but in a small body.

The first puff of a padron is just the first puff of a padron. That's the only way I can describe it. It tastes like burning chocolate with a hint of coffee and spice.
I did a good job of lighting this boy up with a match, so it looks very nice. A medium gray ash that just looks darn nice.

Now I'm about half an inch in and the spice flavor is obvious. The taste definitely matches the dark wrapper. It just yells RICH MADURO!

An ich into it, and this loyal companion is still keeping its promise through consistency. A great taste of spice with smokiness. Now I know, that is a pretty dumb statement, smokiness. But it taste like smoke wood.

The ash was still holding strong, but it was time to make a deposit. The flavor is still smokey and spicy. I feel like saying some coffee also, but not so sure if it's actually there.

I'm half way through. Padrons have this certain flavor. Every time I smoke I wonder what it is, all I can think of is burning dry rosemary, and the color purple. I think of purple when I smoke padrons.

A thir od the way through and the taste mellowd down, but I think it was because it was about to turn off. I was busy reading and got lost in the book. I had to light it up again, and sure enough the flavor was still there.

Oh yea it's mellowed down no. I thought it was because it was about to turn off again, but it's calming down, which frankly I love that. Because it had a rise, a peak, and now it's going for a calm ending.

I think it's time to end this guy. Actually I should have stopped about 5 mins ago.

Overall a must have in every humidor. My first box purchase would be a coin toss between A. Fuente Short Stories and Padron 200s.

Keep trying the other Padrons as they get better and better.

Although I don't smoke that many Padron's, I have always liked the 2000.

I actually think it is the best of the thousand series. Although, I do prefer the naturals over the maduros.

I would definitely try the Padron Londres if you haven't already. The best $2 cigar on the market, by far!

Great review!
